The design proposed for the TV millwork directly responded to the client’s brief for a contemporary and minimal feature wall for this family room. To achieve a simplified sense of calm, rather than a TV feature millwork that felt cluttered and overpowering we introduced vertical Walnut slatted wood wall panel, a tactile element, to foster a sense of casual, refined and modern luxury.
The monochromatic base palette defined by the finishes in the kitchen provided a blank canvas to the injection of colors added through the selection of furniture, and accessories. Slatted wood wall panel has been accented with rich tones of blue-greys, dusky yellows and smokey greens with accents of brass. There’s sophistication in the layering of all the selected elements and finishes. The overall design of this accent entertainment unit shapes an overall polished, timeless and sophisticated feel through the layering of all the selected elements and finishes in this space.
