This brand new 2,500 sf home was a literal blank canvas of white walls and little character. Our top priority at the beginning of this project was to introduce sophisticated architectural detailing paired with a restrained Scandinavian-inspired palette for an elegant family home. The result is a transitional style that’s rich in details yet fresh and modern.

The home’s entry creates a welcome that sets the stage for what’s to come. A dramatic, darkened mirror introduces a new mood that allows for the hustle and bustle of the outside world to be left behind; the sense of excitement builds with clear sightlines to the kitchen and the garden beyond. 

Solving for the needs this family had for a functional kitchen that’s the heart of the home, we reconfigured the layout to introduce a walk-in pantry, a butler’s pantry and more storage. Keeping the back wall of the kitchen largely free of upper cabinets creates a subtle sense of symmetry with the island peninsular making the space feel expansive.
